First Aid at Sea Workshop Set for May 7 in Washington’s Gig Harbor

Washington Sea Grant and the Gig Harbor BoatShop at Eddon Boatyard are cosponsoring an all-day Coast Guard-approved first aid at sea workshop on May 7.

Topics on the agenda include CPR, patient assessment, hypothermia and cold-water response, near drowning, shock and trauma, burns and fractures, choking and patient immobilization and first aid kits.

The cost is $50 for commercial fishermen and $100 for all others. Registration is required for participation.
